Alright, so there's not a lot of time to write today. I'm off to a grueling early morning spin class in a few hours, and I need my sleep.
It's going to be a great day actually, and I'm following up my spin class with a few hours downtown, doing some window shopping and art gallery hopping.
One of my all time favourite galleries is Gallery 44.
What a great place, and what amazing collections of works have passed through there over the years. I love everything about it, seriously. I love the old building that it's located in, I love the indoor courtyard and I love all the years of memories that I have from there. I've been going there since 12th grade, and I frequented Gallery 44 practically every weekend while I was studying Art History at UofT.
Gallery 44 is actually a centre for contemporary photography, and has beautiful high ceilings, warm hardwood floors and modern fixtures, so it always feels fresh and welcoming.
When I saw this beautiful paisley wall panel from B+N Industries (an innovative designer and manufacturer of products for the retail, architectural, and consumer industries) I instantly thought about how fabulous the panels would look in a great gallery space like Gallery 44.
Except that it wouldn't really work with the current exhibit, so don't go there and then come back to me with reports of how awful the panels would look at the moment. I know, I'm just saying that the panels would look great in a creative setting like Gallery 44's office. I'm sure the panels would look really fresh in a wide array of environments, and even come in other patterns, should you not like paisley. Heaven Forbid.
