I have discovered a gem of a designer. Magdalena Borejko has a gorgeous jewellery line on Etsy called Magdalena's Atelier. I guess it's only fitting that she seems to be obsessed with gems herself.
Speaking of Gems, I met up with a good friend of mine for lunch today. I always feel fabulous after I meet with Stef, and I always feel really lucky that I have her in my life.
I met Stef in one of my electives in Uni, and found her the only normal person in the whole 500+ people lecture hall. By normal I mean that she was always amazingly dressed and just smart to boot. I'm sick of people assuming that if you are interested in fashion and always put together, then it must mean that you have no lights on upstairs.
I personally think that a person with book smarts is not all that intelligent if they happen to fail Fashion101. The perfectionist in me believes that you have to know about everything and anything to be a truly well rounded and well read person, and fashion is definitely an important thing to know something about.
Fashion makes HUGE contributions to the world economy, makes lives go round, and studies have shown that first impressions are what counts most. Then how is it possible that fashion knowledge is still considered a faux pas by some? I say go ahead ladies, flaunt your fashion know-how, but just make sure that there is enough book smarts under your belt to tackle any misconceptions about the correlation between looking good and brain power.
It's so pretty. Ram won't buy it for me :(

You are so sweet for saying that! What would I do without you??? But let's face it, YOU are the gem in this relationship, dress girl! Honestly, I truly believe that we only became friends because we were the only two hot girls in that class!
By the way... very cute bracelet but I can only buy it after December 2010. Too much metal you know?! HAHA
